Collaborating with Para-Educators for Improved Student Learning

Para-educators are vital in supporting effective outcomes for students with disabilities. In the first session, teachers and para-educators will focus on the collaboration process. Together the partners will define roles and an effective communication process that supports positive outcomes for students.
In the second session, teachers will learn how to support their para-educator by: planning tasks that ensure active student engagement; providing strategies to help the para-educator support multiple learners, encourage independence, and collect student data.
- 2 Sessions: Teacher and Para Session (October 20) & Teacher Only Session (October 21)
- Cost: $35 * for teachers; para-educators attend at no cost
- Paraeducators must be enrolled separately by contacting Kelly Correio or Angela Puzycki
