It's all out war! Fur is flying. Cats are hissing. Dogs are barking.

 Why?

 We’re hours away from Strut Your Mutt and the competition is fierce. Team Cat and Team Dog are racing to see who can raise more money for the CAWS team. We’re almost to our goal of $45,000 and we know our fur-kid loving friends can help us reach the finish line strong.

There’s still time to register to strut. Or, to donate, all you have to do is pick your side and show the world—are you Team Cat or Team Dog? 

CAWS - Community Animal Welfare Society. That’s what we call ourselves. But who are we? We rescue, treat, spay/neuter, and vaccinate homeless cats and dogs. We spend our weekends, days, and evenings volunteering on their behalf. We foster homeless and abandoned animals until they are adopted into forever homes. We rescue cats and dogs from the shelter. Sometimes they die in our arms as a result of sickness, neglect, or abuse they suffered at the hands of others. Many, we nurse back to health, and they go on to live long, healthy, happy lives as beloved furry family members.

We show the forgotten animals among us the love they so greatly deserve, and we tirelessly endeavor to find homes for every single one. We forever change the lives not only of the animals, but also of those whose lives are enriched by the love of a pet.

We create happy endings. And we keep working because rescuing is not just what we do. It’s who we are.

You can save lives right along beside us. It takes volunteers in many different forms to save them. Some of us volunteer by fostering. Some clean cages. Some do paperwork. Some walk dogs and play with cats. Some donate money. We can all pull together as team and save them.
