PURPLE MARTIN MIGRATION MADNESS

Join us at a watch party to view the spectacle that is Purple Martin migration! From June to September, Purple Martins form large flocks and roost together in preparation for migration.
This is a socially-distanced event - bring a chair and meet us in the parking lot of Old Navy in Stafford, TX at 7:30 pm.
Read all about Purple Martins in our latest blog post by Glenn Olsen.
Join us this year from the comfort of your own home for our annual fundraising event.
This year, we will honor the Houston Parks and Recreation Department (HPARD) with the Kathrine G. McGovern Urban Conservation Award for their commitment to creating a stronger, more resilient community for people and birds.
Featuring a panel discussion with Marissa Aho, Tom Bacon, and Cin-Ty Lee.
Co-chaired by Sarah Flournoy and Cullen Geiselman.
Houston Audubon is proud to have been a part of a collaborative effort led by Galveston Bay Foundation to preserve some of the last remnants of coastal prairie in the region.  The 79-acre acquisition was completed last month and will become part of the Brazoria National Wildlife Refuge. The Flo Hannah prairie will be an important seed source for Houston Audubon’s real-deal native plant nursery, started by Flo. We are so excited to see it deservedly named in her honor.
Despite our sanctuaries being closed from March to May due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we stayed busy behind the scenes.  See what we've been up to.
Join the Plastic Free Houston Facebook group to connect and share ideas on reducing plastic use.
Join our flock of awesome and dedicated volunteers. We have remote and socially-distanced volunteer opportunities.
