Meghan Davidson, associate professor of Speech-Language-Hearing and director of the Comprehension and Language Learning (CALL) Lab, is leading a team of researchers that are using eye-tracking technology and text analysis to understand how much of a story autistic children comprehend--and how we can better tell stories to them. - Shannon Stewart (Theatre & Dance) received a 2026 Creative Capital State of the Art Prize for Kansas. The award provides a $10,000 unrestricted grant to artists in each U.S. state and territory.

Nancy Snow (Philosophy) was awarded a $2,262,393 grant from the Templeton Religion Trust (with co-PI Dr. Elizabeth Mancuso of Pepperdine University) to lead teams from three universities in a three-year project entitled, "An Investigation into Roles Played by Intellectual Humility, Courage, and Religious Literacy in Covenantal Pluralism."
