Visit "What's New" on our Mobile Site 20 May NCMF Cryptologic Program Features Guest Speaker Dr. Andrew Hodges The NCMF is very excited to announce that Dr. Andrew Hodges, a Senior Research Fellow in the Mathematical Institute, University of Oxford, and author of Alan Turing: The Enigma, will be the guest speaker for our (early) Summer Cryptologic Program, to be held on 20 May 2015 from 1000-1300 in Laurel, Maryland. i Dr. Hodges' book was the inspiration for the highly-acclaimed film, The Imitation Game, and we are very grateful to have him joining us. The fee for guests is $55 and includes a complimentary one-year NCMF membership. Registration fees include lunch, and there will also be a book signing following the presentation. Friedman Exhibit to Open at the National Cryptologic Museum On 23 April, the NSA will release over 52,000 pages of historical material related to the career of cryptologic pioneer William F. Friedman. Some sound recordings and photographs are also included in the collection. On 28 April, the National Cryptologic Museum will open a new William F. Friedman exhibit. There will be a ribbon-cutting with special presentations. Stay tuned to our Event Calendar page for more info. George C. Marshall Foundation ~ Friedman Events On 23 April 2015, the George C. Marshall Foundation (GCMF) will host a series of presentations on William F. Friedman, The GCMF's Friedman Collection, and the Declassification and Release of William Friedman's Official Papers. Representatives of the NSA and the National Archives and Records Administration will participate in the events, which will take place in Virginia. Reservations are required. Visit our Event Calendar page for info. i The GCMF presentations are part of their Legacy Series entitled, "Codebreaking," which includes the exhibition, "Partners in Code: William and Elizebeth Friedman.
