Partnership Opportunities |
We are looking for Division of Student Life staff to volunteer at two co-occurring events on the evening of April 22 — the TPUSA event and the "All Are Neighbors" event. Your presence and support will be instrumental in ensuring a safe, welcoming, and well-managed experience for all Baylor students and guests.

Asian & Pacific American Heritage Month – Throughout April, the Baylor community will come together to recognize Asian & Pacific American Heritage Month while our campus is alive with energy. Observed nationally in May, Baylor’s April recognition allows more members of the Baylor Family to take part in events and activities that honor the rich histories, cultures, contributions and resilience of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders. I attended yesterday’s annual luncheon featuring Baylor graduate and entrepreneur, Jaja Chen, and I look forward to many other opportunities for shared learning, joyful celebration and deeper connection across our campus.

March Madness Bracket Winners – The men’s and women’s NCAA Tournaments have come and gone with UCLA winning the women’s and Michigan winning the men’s tournaments, respectively. From a memorable Final Four weekend and two one-seeded teams making historic runs to the championship game, the winners earned well-deserved titles. In addition to UCLA and Michigan, we have winners in our third annual Division of Student Life March Madness Bracket Showdown Challenge Extravaganza Bonanza Slamza. Drumroll, please. The winners are ...
Women’s: Geoffrey Griggs (Multicultural Affairs)
Men’s: Matt Hintzoglou (Student Life/Student Activities)
Geoffrey & Matt, be on the lookout for an email from Student Life on how to grab your Division of Student Life mug. Thank you to those who participated in our third annual Division of Student Life March Madness Bracket Showdown Challenge Extravaganza Bonanza Slamza. We can’t wait to do it again next year.

Self-Care for Bears – Join us for a Staff Development event on April 23rd from 12-1 p.m. Pouring into others starts with taking care of ourselves first. We invite you to join us as we learn ways to slow down, check in, and reconnect with wellness (mind, body, soul) even during the busiest and most stressful times. Come as you are and leave with gentle tools, fresh energy, and a reminder that your well-being matters, too. RSVP deadline is 4/13 and lunch provided to the first 30 RSVPs.

Student Life End-of-Year Celebration & Appreciation Lunch – Join us as we wrap up another great academic year in Student Life at Baylor! We’ll have lunch, followed by a short program that includes time to honor this year’s retirees from the division during a closing dessert reception.
Please RSVP to the Microsoft Outlook Calendar you received last week. This helps us to order food (a great spread this year!) and makes us aware of any dietary restrictions you may have.

- Baylor Giving Day 2026: Celebrating Student Life
Dear Friends & Colleagues in Student Life,
Thank you to all of you who participated in Giving Day, whether by making a gift, promoting the day on social media, or encouraging your networks to get involved. Your energy and advocacy truly made a difference!
This year, we surpassed $2.2M, welcomed support from all 50 states, and saw nearly 4,000 gifts come together to invest in Baylor (and we're still counting!). Notably, young alumni (classes of 2020–2029) led all alumni cohorts, making up more than 21% of identified alumni donors—an incredible testament to the dedication of our most recent graduates.
Student Life had an especially strong showing, moving ahead of Athletics as the top-performing area on campus. Student Life accounted for nearly 12% of all gifts thus far.
Our student events were a huge success both on the main campus and at the Louise Herrington School of Nursing. More than 400 students participated in Giving Day festivities, including Baylor/philanthropy trivia, writing thank-you postcards to donors, and celebrating with free Dirty Sodas from Paradise Pop. A little friendly competition added to the fun!
Thank you again for helping make this Giving Day one to remember!
With gratitude,
The Advancement Team

Asian & Pacific American Heritage Month Luncheon – The Department of Multicultural Affairs proudly hosted more than 280 guests to our Asian & Pacific American Heritage Month Luncheon earlier this month, celebrating culture, resilience, and leadership. We were honored to welcome Jaja Chen as our keynote speaker. She delivered an inspiring message titled Purposeful Neighbors: Serving, Leading, and Growing Together.

This past weekend was Baylor Steppin' Out. More than 1,500 Baylor students continued the 40-year tradition of giving back to the Waco Community through service. Shown above is a portion of the Chamber of Commerce / Student Foundation group that served at China Spring Elementary School. The group shown are all seniors graduating next month.
