Triton Student System (TSS) Approved to Proceed Toward Summer 2026 Launch |
Following recent readiness and budget discussions, Chancellor Khosla has approved the university’s plan to proceed with the TSS launch this summer to support Fall 2026 enrollment (booking).
University leadership recognizes there are still risks and challenges to address and remains supportive of the project team’s mitigation, testing and support plans as work continues toward July launch. Current efforts are focused on accelerating user acceptance testing, increasing staffing support in key areas, prioritizing critical student functionality and preparing the university for transition and hypercare activities over the summer.

Preparing Together for the TSS Transition |
This summer, UC San Diego will transition to TSS, one of the university’s largest operational and technological changes in recent years.
While TSS will provide a more integrated and sustainable student system for the future, the transition period will involve new processes, updated terminology and some temporary workarounds as the university community adapts to the new environment. We also recognize the extraordinary effort being carried by faculty, staff, advisors, trainers, testing teams and operational units supporting this transition while continuing to manage the university’s day-to-day work, along with navigating the many other changes currently underway.
As we move toward launch, we encourage the university community to approach this period with patience, flexibility and grace for colleagues across the university who are working under significant pressure to support students and maintain operations during this complex transition. Additional support resources, guidance and communications will continue to be shared in the coming months.

DES Scheduling Now Live in TSS |
The Division of Extended Studies (DES) Scheduling module is now live in TSS, representing the first Extended Studies operational activity taking place within the new system.
The DES Scheduling training for TSS is nearing completion for DES colleagues, with Office Hours continuing throughout June to support staff using the new scheduling processes and tools.
Training materials, guides and additional support information are available on the DES Hub TSS Resources page (access restricted to DES staff) and the Triton Student System Staff Training Blink page. A DES Scheduling eLearning course is also currently under development and planned for release in June to provide ongoing, on-demand support resources.
Thank you to everyone who participated in training, shared feedback and supported the rollout as DES continues preparing for the Summer 2026 TSS transition.

Final Student QueryLink Retirements and the Transition to TSS Data |
With the Campus Course Information report now live on the Business Analytics Hub (BAH), the student QueryLink remediation is complete and the remaining legacy QueryLink versions will retire on June 1, 2026.
The final retirements include Campus Course Information, Campus Waitlist and Campus Waitlist Audit (with waitlist functionality consolidated into the Campus Class List report). Looking ahead, student BAH reports are being retrofitted as TSS data is introduced in the Student Activity Hub (SAH) alongside ISIS-based data, supported by new fields such as SIS Data Source to improve transparency and continuity. Visit the full article to read more or the Blink page(s) for more details on the report changes being made during the transition by clicking the buttons below.

Due to the transition to TSS and the revised Fall 2026 booking/enrollment timeline, there will be a temporary access gap for the Major/Minor Tool between June 5 and at least mid-July 2026. Students planning major or minor changes for Fall 2026 are encouraged to submit requests before June 5. Impacts to Student Applications Resource |
As UC San Diego prepares to implement TSS, an application status list has been created to help students understand where applications they regularly use will be located after TSS goes live.
Many applications (and their associated functions) will be performed in TSS, some are linked from TSS and some will be retired completely.
We encourage students, and staff who support students, to review and bookmark this resource.

The TSS Training Glossary is currently in the final review process and is expected to be introduced in the coming weeks.
This resource is being developed to support staff throughout training and adoption by providing consistent definitions for key TSS terms, processes and system language. The glossary will serve as a quick-reference tool to help reinforce understanding, reduce confusion, and promote shared terminology across teams.

| |
General TSS Navigation eLearning Course |
A new General TSS Navigation eLearning course will be launching soon to help staff become familiar with the foundational layout and functionality of TSS.
This self-paced course introduces users to the TSS homepage, navigation structure, app tiles, menus and commonly used system features to support a smoother onboarding and training experience. The course is designed to provide users with the confidence to navigate the system before participating in role-specific training sessions.

Supporting Students Through the TSS Transition |
To support students during the TSS transition, the TSS Training team is developing a variety of quick and accessible learning resources designed to make the experience as smooth as possible.
Planned support materials include short, under two-minute videos for more complex tasks, quick-reference “guide on the side” resources for common questions and a student-focused FAQ to provide fast answers and reduce confusion during rollout.
