Weeping Willow 4-H Club

Market Livestock Updates

Reminder: Points must be in by July 1, 2023 to count for this year's fair.
Education Points - Due July 1 *Note new date
To qualify for the Fond du Lac County Market Livestock Sale, individuals need to have a minimum of 8 points, 2 of which are YQCA. All qualifying points need to be completed by July 1. Any points received after July 1 will be applied to the 2024 Fair. Educational points can be submitted online at http://bit.ly/fdllivestockpoints
Please review the Fond du Lac County Fair Book for all rules pertaining to the Market Livestock Sale.
YQCA Certification - Due July 1
All exhibitors, regardless of age or grade in school, must complete YQCA Training. Please complete the training by July 1 and submit your certificate online at http://bit.ly/fdllivestockpoints
Reminder: Changes to Sheep & Meat Goat Entries
  • Sheep exhibitors can now show 2 market wethers, 2 market ewes, OR 1 of each gender, but are still limited to showing a maximum of 2 market lambs. There will be no market wether or market ewe division. Wethers and ewes will compete with one another.
  • Market Goat members can now show 2 market goats regardless of sex.  
  • When entering for the county fair, please enter Lots: Market 1 and Market Lamb 2 or Lots:  Market meat goat 1 and Market meat goat 2, if you are showing 2 animals.
  • Please note, an exhibitor cannot have 2 animals in the same class. In the event the exhibitor has 2 animals in the same weight class, the heavier animal of the two will be moved up to the heavier weight class at county fair. The exhibitor must show both animals. In the event the exhibitor has 2 animals in the heaviest class of the show, the exhibitor must decide which one of the 2 will be shown. The exhibitor will be only allowed to show 1 as they can not have 2 animals in the same class.

LEGO Camp - Now Open to 2nd Graders
LEGO Camp is a camp for youth to learn different LEGO building skills. The LEGO Club and project is growing fast. Join us during this camp and get a taste of what LEGO Club is like! Youth will build different creations with the LEGO bricks at the office. No need to bring any from home! Youth will also learn about different building and engineering techniques, as well as doing some LEGO crafts they can take home! Youth will work as a team to complete a challenge, so let’s get building!

Please contact the Fair Office at office@fonddulaccountyfair.com or 920.929.3168 with any questions or problems pertaining to the fair. 
Fair Office opened Tuesday, June 6. Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday. Call Fair Office to schedule judging time slots. Pre-fair judging Thursday, July 13, 1-7 pm - Judging of Junior Class projects that are non-perishable: Knitting & Crocheting, Home Furnishing, Ceramics, Photography, Self-Determined, Leadership, Natural Sciences, Scale Models, Vet Sciences, Drawing and Painting, Arts and Crafts, Woodworking, and Computer Sciences. Pre-fair judging Tuesday, July 18, 1-7 pm - Judging of perishable projects: Flowers and House Plants, Crops, Fruits, Vegetables, Food & Nutrition, and Cloverbud/Exploring.

4-H Graduation

If you are eligible to graduate from 4-H (grade 12 and 13 members), please complete this graduation survey before Friday, June 23 indicating whether you will be graduating or staying with the 4-H program one additional year.
