These are the days of letting go. When leaves begin to fall, little children leave home to attend school for the first time, young adults leave for college or head off to work sometimes far away.
Saying goodbye at pre-school and kindergarten was tough. But the days our kids left for college were the most challenging, tear-filled days for me. I knew that, just like trees let their leaves go, I had to let go also. But I didn’t want to. I was clinging to the way it had been that I loved and was unwilling to loosen my grasp. Meet these Saved Me Rescue beauties in person at
Doggie Style Bala Cynwyd
Visit in person with Mia Mia is only 6 months old and will charm you from hello. She’s smart, already housetrained and an excellent walker on the leash. She’s a beautiful Retriever/Pointer mix who's a girl that just wants to have fun. Mia is the perfect combination of snuggly, playful and curious. She is friendly with other dogs and would be a terrific, energetic playmate for a doggy sibling. Mia also loves a good long nap on a cozy dog bed. With her adventurous spirit, she’s the perfect addition to join an active family.
Visit in person with Hanna Sue A Hound/Whippet mix, 2 1/2 years old, Hanna Sue is playful and goofy and loves sniffing out all the snacks she can find. She would make a terrific companion for another dog at home and she’s good with kids too! Hanna Sue is cat friendly although she's not really sure what they are. She is sweet, cuddly, loving and silly as can be. She is learning about leash walks but would also be the picture of joy in a fenced yard.

CAC’s Fine Arts and Crafts Festival

This free family event features original, juried fine art from over 50 local and regional artists and also includes live music, an art raffle, and kids’ activities.
CAC’s Fine Arts and Crafts Festival presents original (no mechanical reproductions) art and fine craft work in watercolor, oil and acrylic painting, mixed media, ceramics, fiber, glass, jewelry, metal, pastel, photography, pottery, printmaking, and sculpture.
The festival features a variety of live music throughout the day. With a tie-dying table and children’s activity tables, the Fine Arts and Crafts Festival is fun for all ages! Volunteers will be on hand to help youngsters create a craft to take home. Throughout the day, attendees can purchase food from the Swarthmore Co-Op prepared foods department as well as from other restaurants in town.
