Thermal Energy Storage Tank |
Shown here is the completed scaffolding to be used towards insulating the Thermal Energy Storage tank. Currently the contractor is installing upper and lower diffusers, to aid in proper water flow within the tank. Interior scaffolding will be removed once diffuser installations are complete. Insulation work is beginning on the tank and will go through early November. The tank project is expected to be finished in mid-November. There will be a 2nd phase after the tank's completion that will connect the tank to the central plant, at which point the tank will become fully operational.

I wanted to stop and take a minute to tell you how great I think the recent floor work done by Alex Smith in the Lillis atrium looks. The floor is so shiny and nice, and it is a beautiful sight as we welcome new and returning students and faculty this Fall term. I appreciate all of the hard work that the floor and carpet crews are doing to get our buildings looking their best.
Thanks - Kayla Kemp

Dear Mike, Rick, Paul, James, Tim, Jeff, Kevin, and George,
In addition to my message to the university thanking everyone for their work on the Oregon22 event, I wanted to send a note to you to express my gratitude for how you went above and beyond to make it a success for our university.
You and your teams dedicated countless hours to making sure our campus was in pristine condition to welcome the world. I don’t know that I have ever seen campus look better and more welcoming for our visitors and the millions of people who saw it around the world. Even more than that, you helped make sure campus visitors had access to water bottle refill stations and the right folks were able to get into the right buildings. You even coordinated a pause on the Walton transformation project to make sure construction did not impact the event.
Thank you for your incredible professionalism and efforts to help make this event possible and a truly remarkable experience.
Warm regards, - Michael H. Schill; President and Professor of Law

I’ve been parking in lot 4 for I can’t recall how long, now… started before the pandemic, certainly. It never occurred to me to ask that the bushes and trees surrounding the exit that empties onto Riverfront Pkwy be trimmed back, but it’s always been problematic in watching for pedestrians, bicyclists, and cars. Then viola! One day that was all trimmed back heavily! I want to say in the last month or so, like maybe it happened during the Worlds event. So bless their toes, and yours, for the work you have all done, and for having done that in particular! I enjoy not having to worry as much for turning somebody into a speed bump!

I’m not sure everyone that was involved with the recent emergency revival of the HVAC systems over the past couple day. But I wanted to thank EVERYONE for all of their hard work and patience in getting the HVAC repaired and up and running again.
THANK YOU! - Martie Steigleder; McMorran House
