DIRECTOR'S NOTE

Summer is just getting started in Oklahoma, and as one of our favorite seasons begins, so do the number of reasons to celebrate!
First, after two years of navigating the virtual world, we’re excited to kick things off IN PERSON at the deadCenter Film Festival, which celebrates its 22nd year June 9-12 in Oklahoma City. As part of our long-standing partnership with deadCenter, we’re proud to present our Oklahoma Film + Music Office Panel Series on Saturday, June 11, at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art. These FREE panels will feature a selection of esteemed national and local film professionals highlighting the impact of independent films, documentaries and television as well as related career opportunities within those production realms.
Speaking of the impact of production, we’re also celebrating a successful season of film and television in Oklahoma. Our incentive program remains open at all times for your next project, so if you haven’t revisited the FAQ page on our website, we hope you will as you’ll find a great overview of the program, deadlines for approval periods, as well as tips to find your next job on a local production and more!
With so much crossover in skillsets between music and film, we encourage musicians and related crew who may be between gigs to check out some of the exciting film workshops in the state or related streaming content on our YouTube channel as your skills may easily pivot to provide further career advancement working on a film or television production in the near future.
We hope you find your reason to celebrate this season! Thanks for your continued hard work and support of Oklahoma’s growing film and music industries and we’ll see you at the movies or at a nearby concert this summer!
