During the month of June, we celebrate Pride Month!
The observance began as a tribute to those who participated in the Stonewall Riots of 1969, where supporters of the Stonewall Inn in New York City staged an uprising to resist police harassment and persecution of LGBTQIA+ Americans. This marked the start of a movement to abolish discriminatory laws and practices against the LGBTQIA+ community. Learn More »

A Record $787,267 Awarded at 39th Annual Scholarship Ceremony |
The IVC Foundation celebrated the 39th annual Scholarship Award Ceremony last month, providing 617 scholarships to 356 deserving students. In all, students were supported with $787,267 in awards, exceeding last year's total by $67,000. Read More »

Veterans Services Center Hosts Memorial Day Event |
On May 22, the Veterans Services Center (VSC) staff and students honored the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country through a beautiful display of red poppies arranged in the SSC quad. Also known as the Buddy Poppy, the red poppy has come to represent the blood shed by service members and the enduring bond shared by those who serve. In addition to the poppy display, the VSC hosted a moment of silence along with a performance of Taps by a member of the Air Force Band. See Photos »

Closure of Library Due to Renovations |
The library is currently closed due to renovations, and has been relocated to A 311. Student study spaces are available in A 311 as well as the Student Success Center in BSTIC Room 110.

Esmeralda Delgado has never been one to think small.
“As long as I can remember,” she says, “my goal has been to be a CEO.”
A high school graduate at 17, she started her career as a receptionist, working her way up the ranks in the supply chain industry. Now majoring in business management at Irvine Valley College (IVC) while juggling the demands of raising two children and a successful full-time career, Delgado is well poised to realize her dream.
