Students and faculty from George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences are preparing to showcase a record-breaking number of presentations at the upcoming 2026 American Academy of Dermatology Association Annual Meeting, scheduled to take place March 27–31, 2026, in Denver, Colorado, often referred to as the “Mile High City.”
This year, our GW SMHS students are set to present 30 oral and poster presentations, marking the highest number of student-led presentations from the institution at the conference to date. The milestone highlights the strong culture of mentorship within the program and the growing enthusiasm among students for dermatology research and academic collaboration.
GW students will present research across a broad range of dermatology topics, including hidradenitis suppurativa and its comorbidities, acne and rosacea management, skin cancer therapeutics, pediatric dermatology, and rare cutaneous conditions. Additional areas of focus include patient perspectives and quality of life, dermatology education and training, health care access and insurance coverage, artificial intelligence applications in skin health, and innovations such as teledermatology and integrative care. These presentations contribute to meaningful discussions on clinical practice, patient care, and emerging advancements in dermatologic science, reflecting a strong commitment to academic scholarship and peer-to-peer learning.
We’re excited to celebrate that 3 of our abstracts have been selected among the Top 20 Finalists for the Poster Exhibit Award competition in 2026! Congratulations to everyone involved—this is a fantastic achievement 🎉
