Our Impactful Giving newsletter is usually sent quarterly, but given the rapid developments with the COVID-19 health crisis, we wanted to increase the frequency of our newsletter to share inspiring stories that illustrate the tremendous impact of our community’s support during this critical time.

As LG Health adapts and responds to the COVID-19 virus, thank you for giving us the resources, inspiration, and the strength to face this health crisis with vigor and purpose. From supply donations made at our Donation Center at Clipper Magazine Stadium, to gifts made to our COVID-19 Response Fund, to food donations dropped off for our clinical staff, to an army of volunteers sewing masks, your generosity is touching and reminds us that we’re all in this together.

Sharing and Showing the Love

Our staff not only takes care of our patients, they also take care of one other. Staff from throughout the LG Health system have been creating and hanging up photos and words of encouragement along the bridge that connects our employee parking garage to the main hospital. Each day, more and more hearts with messages of gratitude are added. It’s a reminder to staff as they come and go to work that they are in the hearts and minds of their colleagues.

We are "Sew" Grateful!

We have provided supplies to volunteers to make more than 9,000 masks. On the first morning of supply pick-up, cars were lined up with volunteers ready to get started on sewing masks.

In addition, 120 companies, families, churches and organizations have donated more than four pallets of masks, gloves, and other supplies to LG Health at our drive-through COVID-19 Donation and Materials Center at Clipper Magazine Stadium.

$150,000 Given to COVID-19 Response Fund

Since we launched our COVID-19 Response Fund on 3/27, we have been humbled and inspired by the generosity of the individuals, families and businesses that have contributed. Every dollar donated to this fund will be immediately deployed for medical equipment and supplies, including personal protective equipment (PPE) as well as other critical resources to support LG Health’s preparedness in response to the COVID-19 health crisis.

We’ve received gifts of all sizes and many of the gifts were made in honor of a Healthcare Hero. We are thankful for the generosity of these grateful patients who have given gifts and recognized the bravery and the commitment of our healthcare staff who are serving on the front lines of this crisis.
