High Holiday Deep Dive 

The High Holidays ask us to consider enormous questions about ourselves and our lives. If you want to delve into these big ideas, check out Federation partner GatherDC’s High Holiday Deep Dive! Over the course of four sessions, GatherDC’s Rabbi Ilana will guide an exploration of the High Holidays based on an array of Jewish sources, ideas, and practices.

Hartman Teen Fellowship 

The Shalom Hartman Institute’s Teen Fellowship is an extraordinary opportunity for Jewish high schoolers to cultivate their Jewish identities and worldviews with a community of peers and mentors from across North America. High school students entering grades 10-12 are encouraged to apply.

Capital Jewish Museum Block Party 

Kick off the High Holidays with Federation partner, the Capital Jewish Museum. Join their neighborhood block party complete with live music by local band, Minnush, social justice activities, food trucks, and more!

Pick with PJ

Head to the apple orchard to pick fresh apples for Rosh Hashanah and Grandparents Day with Federation and PJ Library! Pick with PJ is a collaboration between Federation and our partners, Bender JCC, Pozez JCC of Northern Virginia, and Congregation Beth El.

Family Wellness Day 

Join Federation partner, JSSA, for a fun-filled, interactive festival that gives children, parents, and guardians access to valuable tools and community resources to improve their overall well-being.

Federation, our Jewish Community Foundation, and our partners, the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC), Anti-Defamation League (ADL), American Jewish Committee (AJC), and Secure Community Network (SCN), are working to combat hatred and continue to secure our community for the long-term. In March 2023, Federation’s Board approved an initial $2 million in funding to combat antisemitism over the next three years: an important step in a large-scale initiative.
