Spring is in the air and so begins the summer event schedules. The first one is the State 4-H Horse Education Days hosted in Dodge County this weekend. Youth competing in Hippology and Horse Bowl teams include:
SR TEAM: KATHRYN WITZEL, ABBY STREITER, BRAYDEN PANKOW
JR TEAM #1: KARI SCHMIDT, PAIGE CONLEY, MORGAN ANDRESEN, LUCILLE STOWELL
JR TEAM #2: HARPER ZILLMER, JOCELYN MIELKE, ADALYNN REED, BROOKE CREGO
June 9th takes youth in the dairy project to Wood County for Dairy Judging. They have spent their Thursday evenings for the last couple of months practicing at various farms. Thanks to all of the farms that hosted and gave the youth a chance to practice.
May is also the month that youth in Dodge County are making entries for State Fair. Good luck to all of the 4-H members who decide to compete at that level!
We also continue with the busy travel schedule of member experiences. Safe travels to our youth going to American Spirit, Summer Academy and Citizenship Washington Focus.
Also, we can’t wait to see campers, counselors and adult staff at Camp Lakotah. If you can’t make it the Dodge camp, make sure to check out other opportunities in this week’s focus for Dane county or open enrollment at Upham Woods.
Happy May!
Marie
