More Than 400 Students Attend Club Day
More than 400 students enjoyed Club Day earlier this month where 47 organizations were represented. Attendees had a chance to visit club booths, explore potential career interests, and enjoy a meal. See Photos »

IVC Speech and Debate Team Headed to International Tournament in Ireland
IVC’s Speech and Debate team will travel to Dublin, Ireland in March to compete in the International Forensics Association’s 34th Annual International Speech and Debate Tournament. The tournament includes team debates, individual debates, interpretation of literature events, platform speaking events, limited preparation speaking events, and more. The team of 12 will attend the competition from March 8 – 12. Let's wish them luck!

Interactive Media Arts Program Enters New Partnership with Two AI Software Companies
Two leading AI virtual filmmaking software companies, Runway’s AI and Wonder Dynamics, will work in close partnership with students in IVC’s IMA 35, Future Gaming and Toy Design, course this spring. The course will introduce students to cutting-edge techniques in concept design for virtual filmmaking and immersive entertainment by incorporating the latest industry-standard AI software. Men's Volleyball Team Wins in Four, in First Home Match of the Year
After playing its first four matches either on the road or at neutral sites, Irvine Valley's men's volleyball team was finally able to call Hart Gym home for a contest. The Lasers played some of their best volleyball of the year in taking down Santa Monica, 26-24, 21-25, 25-17, 25-21, last week. The win improved IVC's record to 3-2 overall and ended a two-match losing streak. Their next game is on Friday, February 23 at Miramar. Read More »

Digital Media Arts instructor Terry Chatkupt was featured last week in the Pasadena Weekly where he talks about the inspiration for his ex hibit, “Terry Chatkupt: A Year." The exhibit runs through March 31 at the Armory Center for the Arts. Read More »

FROM GEOGRAPHY CLUB TO SOCIAL IMPACT: DYLAN THOMAS' IVC LEGACY

Born and raised in Orange County, Dylan Thomas has always been passionate about the spectacular hiking, biking, and fishing the county has to offer. When it came time to enroll in college, it was this passion for the land that served as Thomas’ motivation.

This clinched his decision to enroll at IVC, with the intention to later transfer to a four-year university where he planned to eventually earn a bachelor’s degree in environmental science. Thomas says his educational experience at IVC extended well beyond the classroom. Read More »
