We are writing to inform you about an upcoming enhancement to the procurement process in Wolfmart that is aimed at ensuring our compliance with New York State and SUNY Information Technology regulations and guidelines on web content accessibility and cyber risk for all IT procurement requests for software, and cloud-based/on-prem applications. The objective of this enhancement is to streamline the confirmation process, leading to increased efficiency, reduced procurement delays, and the enforcement of consistent risk management practices.
Key Points
- Accessibility and Cyber Risk Review: We strongly advise completing the accessibility and cyber risk review before initiating a requisition in Wolfmart. Please note that these reviews may take up to thirty days to finalize. The outcomes of these reviews should be carefully considered when selecting vendors and solutions in alignment with SUNY and SBU policies and procedures.
- IT Review Workflow Step: A new step called "IT Review" will be introduced in the Wolfmart requisition process for technology purchases. This step will automatically notify the Office of Equity and Access (OEA) and the DoIT Information Security department to confirm the completion of the necessary accessibility and Cyber Risk Review.
- Implementation Date: The new workflow will be effective on Thursday, January 18th, 2024.
