July 10th was a beautiful day to be at Upham Woods Outdoor Learning Center and 4-Hers from 8 different counties had the opportunity to experience the last 4-H Neighborhood Camp program. Shown below are youth and adults on Black Hawk Island, a part of Upham Woods. They had a chance learn about the natural environment there, then canoed back to the main land to learn about archery, make crafts, and learn about animals at the nature center. The other picture is from the group that attended on July 10.

In State 4-H News...
The 4-H State Teams have been hard at work on projects that tell our 4-H story, specifically over the last year and a half. As a part of their efforts, the State Art Team is working on a collaborative piece reflecting the many stories of Wisconsin 4-H. They are hoping to collect some stories from youth from around the state. Please select one youth from your county who might like to have their experiences represented artistically and share THIS FORM with them. The Art Team needs your stories by July 28! Thanks for your help with this project!

Nominations Open for 4-H Executive Board & 4-H Endowment Committee

There are four vacant spots for the board next year and four vacant spots for the youth next year. This rule is put in place so that the same people are not serving the board and new opinions are being put out there. The youth have to be in 7th grade or higher in order to be nominated.

Chris Clover moves FOURWARD!
Let’s move Fourward Together this summer by taking Chris Clover on a journey throughout Wisconsin. Chris Clover is a fictional character that 4-Hers can print and take along on their 4-H adventures this summer. The idea is that they take a photo of themselves with Chris Clover, engaged in 4-H activities related to the Wisconsin 4-H Movement values. They can be printed out already in color, or printed in black and white for 4-Hers to creatively color and decorate.
