The Countdown is on!

We are so excited to welcome you to Washington Square next week! Please review the important information offered below to help prepare for your first days at NYU -- which are sure to be unforgettable! After moving into the residence halls on January 14, the rest of your orientation will feature informative sessions to introduce you to the resources of LS and NYU, exciting excursions to orient you to New York City, and many opportunities to meet your fellow students. Orientation for new students is planned from January 15-16, with additional events during the first two weeks of the semester.

Once classes begin on January 20, so does NYU Spring Welcome, university-wide programming for all new and continuing students that highlights the best of NYU student life, from celebrity performances to student meet-ups. There's so much to look forward to, and it all begins soon!

Test your knowledge of NYU & NYC at this virtual trivia night led by your academic advisors! This will be a great opportunity to learn more about your new home in advance of your arrival here and have some fun! Register today!

REMINDERS FOR JANUARY:

Complete our Gap Semester Survey to let us know your thoughts on the programming and workshops offered by Liberal Studies this fall!
Read Orbital, by Samantha Harvey, the new student reading.
Explore the NYU Wasserman website to find out the career services available to you.
Read through the Dates and Deadlines site for important deadlines. including NYUCard, student health insurance, and billing and payment information.
Be sure to log into your NYU Admitted Student Homebase portal, and confirm that you've submitted all your admission materials, and to access a personalized checklist of items to complete before arriving on campus.
Read through the Spring Start 2026 Frequently Asked Questions.
Complete the Academic Integrity Tutorial which should be finished by all incoming students before classes start.
Review the health requirements for incoming students, including health histories, immunization records, and the Sexual Respect and Alcohol.Edu online tutorials.
Complete the first three units of the How We Engage module series before arriving on campus; the second unit includes the Non-Discrimination & Anti-Harassment video and attestation, and the third unit includes the six CDI Perspectives Modules.
Accept any financial aid awards in your package.
Submit proof of high school graduation to the NYU Office of Admissions; note International Students who attended high school outside of the U.S. must adhere to the requirements listed at this link.
Submit any advanced standing credit you earned in high school to the NYU Office of Admissions.
International students: be sure to follow the pre-arrival visa instructions from the Office of Global Services (OGS), and contact the international student advisors in OGS with any questions.
Have gap semester transcript(s) sent directly to your academic advisor, electronic transcripts preferred! Do NOT send your transcripts to NYU Admissions.
Review your current meal plan through the NYU Dining Portal, and make any changes before February; for meal plan rates and related information, visit the NYU Dining website.
Pay your bill or enroll in a payment plan.
