PRESS RELEASE

Elysian Charter School’s “All in To Stop Bullying” Campaign hits the airwaves this weekend with an appearance on Spotlight NJ with Della Crews on News 12NJ.  The show will include segments of the “All In” Video as well as a live performance and interview with artist-in-residence Aram Rubenstein Gillis and four Elysian students, including fifth-graders Avery Ramsey, Sienna Mello and Daniel Weintraub, and third-grader Sophia Choudhoury. The Show airs this weekend on Saturday January 7th & Sunday January 8th at 11am, 1:30 & 3:30 pm.
“It was really fun and cool experience to be on TV, and I’m glad we got to share our anti-bullying message across New Jersey and beyond” said 5th grader Siena Mello.  “In addition to singing the song on TV and talking about our personal experiences with bullying, we got to sit at the anchor desk and play around in a real live studio!.”
The “All In to Stop Bullying” took flight when Elysian Charter School’s anti-bullying anthem “All In” went viral, garnering over 85,000 views on Facebook and being honored as the “Song of the Month” on the popular app Accapella.
Since the video’s release, schools from far and wide have joined in the cause.  “I’ve been contacted by music teachers from Seattle to Silicon Valley to London to Long Island about performing the song with their students.  While visiting my wife’s family in Toronto for the holidays I met with a music teacher who led hundreds of kids and parents singing “All In” sing as the closing song of their holiday concert.   It is a great feeling to know that this song is reverberating beyond our school, beyond New Jersey, and in some cases beyond international borders!”
