Yale Alumni Association Assembly and Yale Alumni Fund Convocation 2024 |
Thanks to all our outstanding volunteers who attended the 2024 Yale Alumni Association (YAA) Assembly and the Yale Alumni Fund Convocation on campus November 14–15. Sessions targeted the theme: “Leading for a Better World: Advancements in Health, Historical Inquiry, and the Environment at Yale.” 497 volunteer alumni leaders and guests from 38 states and 15 international countries attended 50+ programs, including best practices workshops, faculty lectures, tours, and presentations from university leaders. The plenary session opened with a keynote presentation by President Maurie McInnis '96 PhD, and included a dynamic panel discussion featuring Emily Bakemeier, Vice Provost of Arts and Faculty Affairs, Michael Gelobter, Executive Director of the Yale Center for Environmental Justice, Kia Nobre '93 PhD, Director of the Wu Tsai Institute's Center for Neurocognition and Behavior, and Jennifer Wang, Executive Director of the Yale Center on Climate Change and Health. Five alumni received the Yale Medal, the highest honor awarded by Yale for volunteer service. This year’s medalists are Robert G. “Rob” Greenly ’83 MBA, Constance L. Royster ’72, Elizabeth Sullivan ’74, ’76 MA, Michael B. Tom ’83 MD, and William D. White ’73, ’78 DIV. Other exemplary Alumni Schools Committee members, individual volunteers, and alumni groups were also honored for their contributions to the alumni community.
Save the date for next year's event, November 20-21, 2025.

Yale Leads Be the Key Challenge Results |
From November 14-24, the Yale Alumni Fund "Be the Key" Challenge brought together more than 600 alumni donors from 67 different classes and 8 countries, raising an incredible $400,000 to support Yale College financial aid scholarships and Graduate School fellowships.
We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all our dedicated volunteers who promoted the challenge and made this success possible. Special gratitude goes to Bryan Hunter ’08, ’08 MS, Kim Fulton ’91, Chris Michalik ’91, and Rob Michalik ’91, whose generous matching gifts significantly boosted our efforts.
Your support truly unlocks doors for students, providing them with invaluable opportunities. Thank you for making a difference!
