Breaking world records

If you’re ever training to beat the Guinness World Record for most burpees in one minute while wearing high heels, the current record holder — alum Chad Singleton, BS’08 — has some advice. For starters, don’t use someone else’s shoes without asking first.

First in the nation

Sixty-five years ago, George Blue Spruce Jr., DDS’56, became the first American Indian dentist in the U.S. Now, at the age of 90, he says his work is far from finished. “The University,” he said, “took the time and care to make me feel important. To make me know that I matter. In my career, I’ve tried to do the same for every patient, every student, every person I meet.”

Creighton's new campus

Alumni, friends, faculty and staff recently celebrated the grand opening of the Creighton University Health Sciences Campus — Phoenix. The nearly $100 million campus makes Creighton the largest Catholic health professions educator in the country.
