Brooke Powers -2019 Summer Intern
Brooke Powers is our 2019 summer intern. A Murfreesboro native, she studies communication with a focus in public relations at Tennessee Technological University, where she is currently a junior. While at school, Powers is involved in Delta Gamma, Baptist Collegiate Ministries and the Peer Mentor program. She currently assists our department with coding summer camps, high school internship programming, and teacher externship preparation.
When asked about her first month here Powers explained, “I have really enjoyed this experience. This is my first internship and I have learned a lot about workforce development in Rutherford County. I have also learned how an office can run and how every department works together to create a great project or outcome for the county.”
Throughout the summer, Powers will assist with the remaining coding summer camps, teacher externship program, council meetings and fall programming preparation.
