Can you believe they say yes?
Avery Lorenz with Stacy Small-Lorenz
We all loved it so much, we are continuing the gatherings and publishing a small book of the poems created during this time, including Avery's fantastic poem above, where she is astonished when given permission to jump out of the safety of her tree.
In this moment of reopenings, it is understandable that we feel conflicted about our safety. And if we have a history of feeling unsafe, this can trigger an avalanche of emotions, impossible to parse and process.
We also hope that you will hold Avery's wondrous spirit in your own heart as you begin to leap out of the tree canopy of home into social connectedness. Let's move slowly, let's attune to others, and let's hold space for all of the thunderbolts of our emotions.
In health and harmony,
Stacy Sims Founder
