| | Team Israel Baseball at Bethesda Big Train
Bethesda Big Train, co-sponsored by Federation, Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC), and Bender JCC of Greater Washington
Watch Israel's national baseball team face the Bethesda Big Train at Shirley Povich Field in Bethesda, MD as part of its pre-Olympic training. The game is one of nine Team Israel will play in the U.S. before traveling to Japan for the Olympics. The game will begin after nightfall on the Jewish day of mourning, Tisha B’Av.

Washington DC Grandchildren of Holocaust Survivors (3GDC) and Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC)
Please join 3GDC, in partnership with the JCRC of Greater Washington, for a virtual group discussion about the recent rise of antisemitism and its impact on our community. Guided by JCRC facilitators, participants will learn more about antisemitism and recent findings and trends, and help brainstorm ways to combat discrimination.

Adas Israel Congregation
Join a poignant Tisha B’Av (9th of Av) experience, in person and virtually, with participatory Eicha (Book of Lamentations) readings from community members. Eicha is a collection of poetic laments for the destruction of Jerusalem in 586 BCE and is read on Tisha B'Av, regarded as the saddest day in the Jewish calendar.

| Summer Blood Drive
Edlvavitch DCJCC and Inova Blood Services
Help replenish the blood supply in the DC metro area with the EDCJCC's Summer Blood Drive. The blood drive will take place in a bloodmobile parked in front of the EDCJCC building (on the Q Street side). Inova Blood Services follows all CDC and local COVID-19 guidelines to ensure the health and well-being of all donors and staff.

Bridges to Independence is partnering with Volunteer Arlington and local safety net organizations to provide local youth with school supplies for the coming school year. Along with gift cards, they are collecting supplies such as backpacks, pens, colored pencils, highlighters, notebooks, erasers, hand sanitizer, and more!
- Volunteer Night at the Capitol Area Food Bank
Join an evening of volunteering to support residents of the DMV on Thursday, July 15th from 5:30 PM – 8:00 PM. Working in the distribution center is a great way for volunteers to support the Capital Area Food Bank on the front lines of the distribution process. You will help sort and pack donated food items along with other EDCJCC volunteers.
