Appleton Area Ecumenical Good Friday Service
Join us at the Fellowship at noon on Friday, April 18 for the Appleton Area Ecumenical Good Friday service; an hour devoted to the Christian remembrance of the crucifixion of Jesus and the sadness and fear of that day, as well as the challenges we currently face in our lives and our world. Several area churches participate annually, and this year the Fox Valley UU Fellowship is the host! If you wish to sing in the Good Friday choir (this year, directed by Dr. Steve Sieck), please let John Popke (john@fvuuf.org) know ASAP so he can obtain sheet music for you. You'll arrive at 10:30 to rehearse that day.

Save the Date: Sunday, April 27
Join us on Sunday, April 27, from 12:30-2:00 pm. Religious Exploration Program Year
We warmly invite all young curious minds to join us in fun and friendship in our Religious Exploration classes on Sundays during the 11:00 service. Kids in grades 4K-8 will discover our values through enriching lessons and activities that help them grow spiritually, ethically, and intellectually.
Every month, our students in grades 4K- 5 will explore a variety of major world religions and learn more about our new Unitarian Universalist values: Justice, Equity, Transformation, Pluralism, Interdependence, and Generosity (JETPIG). Finally, they will continue their journey of understanding and practicing their own UU faith.

The Gathering: Rooted in Love, Rising for Justice
What is The Gathering?
Throughout history, people of faith and conscience have come together to resist injustice and build a better world. Now, it’s our time. The Gathering is a monthly virtual event from Side With Love designed to equip Unitarian Universalists and justice-seekers with the spiritual grounding, political analysis, and collective action needed to rise to the challenges of this moment.
Each month, participants will:
•  Strengthen their hearts and spirits through spiritual grounding
•  Gain a deeper understanding of the threats to democracy and justice
•  Organize with others to block anti-democratic forces and build a just and loving world
Join us every Second Monday of the month at 7:00 pm CT.

Notes

Congratulations to the Winner of the Rain Barrel!
As part of the Climate Justice Revival, two members of our Green Sanctuary team donated a rain barrel as a fun raffle prize (thank you Nadine Van Lieshout and Bob Klauk!). The winner of the drawing was 7th grader Mateo Guevara-Derber who has been begging his parents for a rain barrel since he loves to plant and tend all growing things-- trees, flowers, and veggies-- with his family. Congratulations, Mateo!
