Dear SUNY Oneonta alumni,
I have talked to many SUNY Oneonta alumni, and the pride you demonstrate for the college is unmistakable. I feel privileged to be joining a community where people have had so many transformative experiences and made such lasting memories. I had a wonderful time sharing in the Pass Through the Pillars tradition with new students on Aug. 27, and I am excited to participate in many more events and traditions in the future.
Alumni involvement and contributions are inextricably linked to the success of the college and, most importantly, our students. I was impressed to hear about how many of you return to Oneonta or participate in campus-to-career programs to engage with students in the classroom or at networking events. The success of the “Grow. Thrive. Live.” fundraising campaign is also evidence of your generosity and affinity for ensuring SUNY Oneonta’s legacy will live on for generations to come.
I invite you to learn more about me in a story which shares information about my life and career, as well as my priorities and interests. I am excited to partner with you to ensure our college continues to have a supportive community for not only current students, but also alumni and friends. I hope to meet you in the near future.
Sincerely,
Alberto J.F. Cardelle, Ph.D., MPH
