Move-In Day Details Move-in day is just a few days away! We are so excited to welcome you to campus. You will receive an email from Housing and Residential Experience by August 11 at 5:00 p.m. with your room assignment. If you do not receive your assignment, please reach out to housing@vanderbilt.edu. The email will include your specific move-in time between 1:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. CST on August 18. If you are attending International Student Orientation, your move-in day will take place on Wednesday, August 16, and you must complete the Pre-Arrival Form to move in early.
Please activate your Mobile Commodore Card prior to your arrival on campus. Instructions for activation are available on the Card Services website.
When arriving on campus on Friday, August 18 afternoon, please park in Lot 18, located behind Olin Hall, on the corner of Highland and 24th Avenue (2400 Highland Ave, Nashville, TN 37240). Key pickup will be available under the awning of the E. Bronson Ingram Studio Arts Center, located across the street from Lot 18 (1204 25th Ave S, Nashville, TN 37240). If you arrive after 4:30 p.m. on Friday, August 18, your key will be at your area desk listed on the Housing website.

ISSS SEVIS Check-In Info
After arrival to the U.S. and to Vanderbilt, all incoming international students entering with an Initial or Transfer Pending I-20 or DS-2019 must complete a mandatory SEVIS Check-in. SEVIS check-in is required even if you have previously attended another U.S. college or university. The check-in process is virtual and collects copies of your F-1 or J-1 status documents and the information ISSS needs to report your arrival in SEVIS. You must also complete the SEVIS check-in process prior to completing your I-9 (for on-campus employment), or before applying for a Social Security Number (SSN), driver’s license, or state ID card. Be Smart-Be Safe Online Modules
As a new student, you are required to complete the Be Smart-Be Safe online education modules to assist with making intelligent choices regarding your health and safety, as well as the health and safety of other students and the larger Vanderbilt community. Your assigned modules are now due. Information regarding these modules has been sent from @safecolleges.com with the subject line “Mandatory Be Smart-Be Safe Modules to Complete.”

International Student Orientation
International Student Orientation (ISO) schedule is now available! As an international transfer student, it is your choice whether or not you would prefer to participate in ISO or join your domestic peers to only attend Transfer Student Orientation (required). The deadline to sign up for International Student Orientation was July 15th. If you have any questions regarding International Student Orientation, please contact residentialcolleges@vanderbilt.edu.
ISO is a series of sessions designed to support your transition to college and the U.S. ISO will also offer you a chance to settle in and meet new people before the rest of the class arrives. At the conclusion of ISO, you will join your peers and participate in the required Transfer Student Orientation.

Transfer Student Orientation
Transfer Student Orientation (TSO) schedule is now available! TSO is the required orientation for incoming transfer students which takes place immediately prior to the start of classes.

Shipping Packages for Move-In
All packages must have the following info:
- Student Name
- PMB 35XXXX (X= four-digit PMB number provided in room assignment email)
- 2301 Vanderbilt Place
- Nashville, TN 37235-XXXX (X=four-digit PMB number provided in room assignment email)
If you are moving in on Wednesday, August 16, label each package with “Early Arrival.” If you are moving in on Saturday, August 19, DO NOT WRITE EARLY ARRIVAL on your packages. You will get an email package notification for each package received in your name. The package notification will tell you the date and time received, carrier, tracking #, along with the pick- up location. Please make every effort to combine items for shipping to campus to limit excessive amounts of packages. More details about shipping packages, including how to identify your PMB number, can be found on the Mail Services webpage.
