Welcoming a new baby can be a big adjustment. Want quick tips and tricks grounded in research? Look no further. Just in Time Parenting now offers one-page newsletters for parents and caregivers with newborns to 4-month-old babies. You can read or listen to the audio recordings for each newsletter. The newsletters are available to read or print in English, Spanish, and Hmong languages.

2025 UW Crop Enterprise Budget Tool Now Available!

Agronomic field crop budgets for both grain and forage enterprises commonly grown and harvested in Wisconsin have been updated for 2025 and are available for download. Unfortunately, as farmers and agricultural professionals are aware, commodity prices are down, and input costs continue to rise as the planting season draws nearer. The UW Crop Enterprise Budget Tool can be used to help make decisions on those final flex acres or evaluate the impact in-season management decisions may have on the overall profit potential of this year’s crops.

March is National Nutrition Month

March is National Nutrition Month®, so what better time than now to start becoming healthier through healthy eating and physical activity. National Nutrition Month® is a nutrition education campaign created every year in March by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. It began as a National Nutrition Week in 1973 and became a month-long observance in 1980. It focuses attention on the importance of making healthy eating and physical activity choices.

Understanding Dry Matter: A Key to Better Dairy Feeding Management

Dairy cattle diets are formulated on a dry matter (DM) basis, so it is important to understand what that means. All forages and feeds contain both water and dry matter so, in a simplistic way, the DM fraction refers to the absence of water, but how does that affect your operation? Learn about Dry Matter and its importance. Also, learn how to measure Dry Matter at your farm using different techniques.
