Headquartered in Germany but grounded in the Santa Barbara community for over 30 years, Karl Storz supports a variety of programs at UCSB. That includes a new research accelerator, in collaboration with the student-run Women in Science & Engineering group. Marc Amling ‘86, ‘94, vice president at Karl Storz, shares what motivates the company’s commitment to the region and the campus.

Trivia Answer:

Robert Ballard '65 graduated from UC Santa Barbara with degrees in chemistry and geology and is now a professor of oceanography at the University of Rhode Island. He found the Titanic wreckage in 1985.
