This year, the Maseeh College Holiday Party included a craft table with vintage typewriters and supplies to craft missives to the North Pole (or other recipients of choice). The balloon arch photo op was also a popular attraction, and thanks to all who brought treats for the treat table for everyone to enjoy. A special shout out to the party planning team that worked behind the scenes to help us celebrate the season.

This year, Oregon fielded a mixed-university/college team at the Student Cluster competition at IndySCC in a virtual variation of the Student Cluster competition in which teams build their virtual HPC cluster (using Jetstream2 resource), run a set of benchmarks and complete a set of workloads across three different scientific applications in the span of 46 hours. This was the first time any of the Oregon universities participated, and the team's Portland State contributors included mentor Marko Markoc, (OIT) and current CS master's students.

The annual Maseeh College Food Drive is on now until the end of the week. Got a stash of hotel/travel-sized hygiene items such as shampoos, soaps, etc? Extra school supplies? We will take those, too! Donations can be dropped off in the Dean's Office (EB 500) and will benefit students as they head into Winter Break with limited access to on-campus resources during closures and holiday hours. Monetary donations can be made to the PSU Smallwood Food Pantry.
