Summer camp was incredible! We played, sang, danced, went on the water slide, the paddle boards, the big swing, had great conversations about life and faith and deepened friendships! We look forward to what God has in store for this school year! We are also looking forward to Weekend Camp, January 30 - February 1.

YEAR CALENDAR & FALL DETAILS |
Another school year is about to begin and we are very expectant of what God has in store for Pasadena Young Life, WyldLife and YoungLives.
We have a couple new things happening this school year!
1. Campaigners: Our Sunday gatherings 2x/month will now be Campaigners. Real talk. Real friends. Real growth. Small groups where we dive deeper into Scripture and follow Jesus together with our HEAD, HEART, and HANDS! We will still have snacks and games but instead of a leader sharing a talk/lesson, we will all study the bible together! We will cover topics including solitude, prayer, scripture, worship, fellowship and service. This is a great space for kids who are ready to dig deeper in their faith. (Middle school and high school students will gather at the same location but will split into age specific groups for the study time).
2. Club XP: One Wednesday each month we will gather for Club XP! This is a place to invite NEW MS and HS Students from any school in Pasadena! It will include fun activities, awesome music, skits, and the hope of Jesus shared in a way that clicks! If you know students who want to check out Young Life/WyldLife, who don't have much faith background, or has been disinterested in faith, this is the place to invite them. We will meet at various fun locations in Pasadena. (We will split up into age-specific groups as needed.)
3. Lunch Club at OEB: We will continue our lunch club at OEB this school year. Details are still being worked out with the school so we will update you/your students when we have those set! We look forward to being back on campus!

NEW TO WYLDLIFE/YOUNG LIFE?
|
WyldLife is Young Life for middle schoolers. (Young Life is a Christian ministry that reaches out to middle school, high school, and college students in all 50 of the United States and in more than 100 countries around the world.)
We are a group of caring adults who step into the world of kids to show them they matter.
Learn more about WyldLife overall here.
Check out our parent letter here.
See the Pasadena Young Life website here.

Upon arrival, kids enjoy open play/hangout, mingling and snacks; participate in games and competitions; listen to a 10-minute message about Jesus based on a Bible passage; break into small groups for check in and reflection on message.
Adult leaders (who have been screened and trained) participate with students throughout the entire program. Parents are invited to drop off and pick up their kids OR stay and observe for any portion of club.

|
All students in grades 6-8 are ALWAYS invited.
There is no “membership” to join. Students attend whenever they can.
All are welcome regardless of ability, background, and faith-affiliation, or lack thereof.
No prerequisites of belief, behavior, or church involvement.
No previous Young Life/WyldLife experience required & no ongoing commitment or "membership" needed.
No financial cost or fees. Students simply attend whenever they want/can.
|
| All WyldLife gatherings feature unconditional welcome, friendship-building, safe outlets of fun and adventure, and brief messages about Jesus.
While attending WyldLife gatherings, every student is expected to contribute to an environment where all feel safe, welcomed, included, and respected.
All adult leaders are trained and background checked
Some special events require pre-registration and/or payment.

Club themes are ways to organize some of the fun and games that happen at WyldLife club. Themes are also one way WyldLife leaders create a memorable night of purpose, fun, and friendship. If students want to, they can "dress up" to match the theme...but please note that this is optional.
Most WyldLife gatherings include active games that involve movement. So think informal, casual, activewear attire.
