So... What's a VIRTUAL FUN RUN?
Part of our lineup for the Alumni Reunion Weekend includes a virtual fun run! What does that mean, and how can you participate? A virtual fun run is one that you commit to doing at your own pace in your area. Although you may be participating solo or with some close friends or family, you'll be part of a bigger community, made up of friends of Caron from all over the country, who are on the same journey! Here's how it works:
- Go at your own pace - You can run, walk, jog, or any combination of the three!
- Choose your own start time - for this event, you can complete your run/walk anytime between Saturday, June 27 and Sunday, June 28.
- Record your time if you wish -There is no competition and no pressure in a virtual fun run. However, you can use an app like Strava to assist you in keeping track of your time and distance.
- Share Your Journey - snap a selfie or a photo of your run, and send it to your alumni coordinator if you'd like to be featured on Caron's social media.
We encourage you to use the time to meditate and reflect on your personal recovery journey, and to soak in the feelings of gratitude that come with moving your body and being outdoors!
