One of your Member Benefits |
Hello FGNA Member,
The 33rd issue of The Feldenkrais Journal™ is upon us. Explore the theme of "links and associations" in five articles by experienced Feldenkrais® trainers, martial artists, musicians, psychologists, and writers. The connections they draw between the Feldenkrais Method® and neuroscience, philosophy and tai chi, music, movement, and math will surprise and impress. Poetic as their proposals may be, they also reflect deep knowledge of Functional Integration® sessions and Awareness Through Movement® lessons.
Huge thanks to the Editorial Board of the Journal for shepherding such inspirational and complex contributions across 2023.
If you have an article, image, or letter to submit to the 2024 Journal, please email journal@feldenkraisguild.com for guidelines on formatting. The final deadline for all submissions including images is April 1, 2024.

At this time, we are also looking for experienced editors with a sense of the historical and contemporary relevance of the Feldenkrais Method®, as well as an eye for detail

FGNA is preparing to join the Joint Governmental Relations Committee (JGRC) this month in Chicago. This valuable group of somatic, massage and bodywork professions come together annually to strategize for the coming year as the State Legislative bodies across the USA determine whether a massage license is necessary to practice, regardless of the modality of work performed. We continue to monitor the government proceedings to assist our practitioners in being able to work unencumbered by having to complete a secondary training in massage. This is one of the budget items we continue to find important as a member benefit for all our organization. When your state is in jeopardy, you will be notified by our staff, Andrea Weiner, to participate with letter writing or personal contact in your state capital. We appreciate all those practitioners who assist in carrying on this work.

FEFNA Board members are reviewing the website to assess more clear information and appropriate links to the variety of Funds, Projects and Donation space. There is a realization of the need to have clear communication and application processes for all the funds. We want to present pathways for the actions of donating and also how to receive one of the available grants through FEFNA.
If you want to participate in the projects FEFNA has developed and have time to volunteer as a member of the FEFNA Board, we are looking for new members. Contact fefnasec@gmail.com for further information.

A footnote is necessary. The best way to use a footnote is to post it at the end of your document or at the end of each page of your website or advertisement. Â
There are US footnotes for those whose practice is based in the USA and there are different footnotes for those whose practice is based in Canada.Â
Use of footnotes acknowledge FGNA’s ownership of the service marks and/or certification marks being used, except in cases such as business cards, where it’s not possible due to space constraints.Â
If you do not want to list all of the terms, you NEED at least to list the terms that you use in the specific document or communication.
