The Camp Wesley Pines staff will join us for tonight's Re:Treat Night. Indoor games and activities will give the children and youth a small experience of the Camp Wesley Pines Summer Camp. If your child has wondered about attending Camp Wesley Pines for a week this summer, this is a great way to find out more information and explore their interest.
We are once again requesting that you RSVP by the Sunday before so that we know how much food to prepare and are good stewards of our resources. You may RSVP via the newsletter (the Wednesday before), via the bulletin (the Sunday before), or by calling the church office by 10 am the Monday before. As we each consider how God is calling us to take The Next Faithful Step, some of you may feel led to help with our Children and/or Youth Ministries. Right now, we are updating our required background checks and training for our volunteers. If you are a volunteer, or if you are considering becoming a volunteer with our Children and/or Youth Ministries as your next step in discipleship this year, please join me in The Garden, (on the first floor of the Education Building), for a Volunteer Training Session through Ministry Safe. This Training Session will immediately follow the worship service on Sunday, January 29th. We'll go over the Safe Sanctuary Policies we already have in place at Parkway Hills UMC and complete an online Ministry Safe Training together. You will need an electronic device, such as a phone, tablet, or laptop to access the online training session. Lunch and nursery will be provided.

What a celebratory day as we welcomed into membership 13 young people. Thomas Williamsen, Sawyer Nichols, Everett Watts, Joe Nicholson, Patrick Pruett, Cannon Kirk, Charles Kiser, Gray Jones, James Pickle, Adelaide Kirk, and Kaitlyn Williamsen spent the last 3 months meeting with Pastor Dawn and Pastor Haven and learning about the history of their church and the story of their faith. Sunday, they, along with Emmy Pruett and Wesley Kate Heath
confirmed the faith promises made at their baptism by making their own profession of faith and choosing to make Parkway Hills UMC their church family. Thank you to all the parents and mentors who helped make their confirmation experience so meaningful. Make sure you keep a look out for these new members, say hello, and get to know them better. In MemoriamThe Parkway Hills UMC Men's ministry would like to add a plaque to the memorial wall at PHUMC's Columbarium in memory of our friends in ministry, Ron and Penny Allison. Memorial plaques cost $250.00. If you would like to donate to aid the men's ministry in placing this plaque, mark "memorial plaque" on the memo line. If you have never visited our lovely Columbarium space, we hope you will make plans to do so. |  | Join the Children's Ministry in the Garden at 9:30 on Sunday, Feb. 12 for a Valentine's Party. We will have plenty of crafts, activities and games for ages 3 - grade 5 as we explore God's love for us and how we share that love with our friends and neighbors. Wear Valentine's themed clothing and come ready to party in God's love!

It's time for our 2nd Annual Secret Galentine Signup! Galentine's Day is officially February 13, so let's spread some love among us!
If you are interested in participating, you will be responsible for dropping off a Valentine themed surprise to a PHUMC Galentine between February 10th and February 13th. There is a price suggestion of approximately $25. The gift should include a gift tag with your name. The following info will allow us to pass along some of your preferences to your secret valentine.
The last day to sign up is February 3rd and we will be randomizing the list of participants and sending out the secret Galentine names and responses on February 5th.
