CABINET LETTER FROM MARK CHIARUCCI

Dear De La Salle Community:
As is the case every year, the first few months of school always seem to be a blur here on Winton Drive with all the many activities happening inside and outside the classroom. The same holds true for all of us in the Advancement Office.
We started the year with a sold-out Taste of De La Salle, with more than 500 people in attendance. This signature event is one that so many love because it is all about building community. Year after year, parents, alumni, friends, faculty, staff, and coaches all convey how much they enjoy the opportunity to celebrate our family that is De La Salle High School.
As we moved into October, Giving Week took center stage. Once again, our community went over and above to support our young men. It is inspiring for all of us in the Advancement Office to see that the trust and belief in what we are doing on campus shines through, as evidenced by the generosity of our parents, alumni, and friends. As was the case in the past, we not only achieved our goal of raising $350,000, we crushed it, with gifts totaling more than $418,000. Whether it was a gift of $20 to support the wrestling program or $2,500 to support financial aid, every single gift makes a difference in the lives of our students.

Thank You to our wonderful parent community for the tremendous support we received during De La Salle Giving Week. Because of you, we were able to smash our goal and raise $416,821! The impact your support will have on our young men will be felt throughout the school year. We want to thank all the students, faculty, and alumni who shared how De La Salle has influenced their lives (past and present). If you missed any of these videos, please visit vimeo.com/dlshsconcord.
We also want to take a moment to thank some very special donors who gave our school some incredible match gifts: Brian '83 and Kristen Peters, Albert ‘92 and Mindy Seeno, the Edmondson Family, and eight anonymous donors. If you would still like to make a gift, please visit dlshs.org/givingweek.

All you have to do is place your order online between now and November 20. The pies will be freshly baked and delivered on the last day of school, prior to Thanksgiving, so our employees can take them home to enjoy with their families. What could be happier than that?
