AMIC brings together materials science and engineering with the complementary disciplines of chemical and biomolecular engineering and chemistry, creating a collaborative environment for advanced materials research and innovation that supports industry, national security and economic competitiveness. This work advances fields that range from mobility, aerospace, and advanced manufacturing to energy systems, health technologies, and infrastructure that underpins modern life. AMIC is already acting as a magnet for top talent from around the world and creating new opportunities for collaboration and discovery. A project like this is possible only through the support of our government partners, industry collaborators, alumni, faculty, staff and friends of the college, and I express my heartfelt gratitude to all who helped bring it to fruition.
Building on this momentum, our college is opening new pathways into engineering and computing degrees across disciplines, creating more accessible and seamless opportunities for students to enter high-demand fields. These efforts help ensure that more students can pursue a Clemson degree supported by strong advising and a clear path to graduation.
Our momentum is also reflected in the recognition of our faculty, who continue to be honored for their leadership and impact across a wide range of disciplines. Their work is shaping solutions to some of society’s most pressing challenges, ranging from advanced materials and energy to health innovation, transportation and sustainable infrastructure. They are building on a strong foundation, including our enterprise campuses across the state, which continue to translate research into real-world impact.
None of this progress would be possible without the support of our alumni, friends and partners. Your generosity allows us to provide transformative opportunities for our students and faculty and helps us sustain the momentum that defines this college.
