IT'S BLITZZ! FALL REC IS FULL OF FUN, HEALTHY EXERCISE AND LEARNING.

We're over half way through the Blitzz FC fall recreational soccer season and we've seen the players transforming from individuals on the field into teams that collaborate, communicate and celebrate together.
The purpose of Blitzz FC recreational soccer is to provide an opportunity for  athletes to have fun, learn the sport and develop life skills and core values like:

We can't wait to see what our Blitzz FC athletes accomplish in the second half of the season!
Our Commitment:To offer positive soccer programming designed to develop each player’s individual physical well-being and full human potential. We build character, growth mindset, resiliency, and key life skills, developing motivated citizens who make a positive impact on our local community. TAMARACK FALL CLASSIC RESULTS

Montana Surf teams had a strong showing at the Tamarack Fall Classic in Kalispell! Our 2010 Girls and 2012 Boys won gold medals in their age groups and the 2008 Girls, 2008 Boys, 2011 Girls, and 2012 Girls came home with silver medals. All of the kids and parents enjoyed the perfect soccer weather and the opportunity to face teams that we don't often play. A big thank you to our partner club, Glacier Surf, for lending us some guest players and coming to watch the games.

SURF SELECT

WHAT IS SURF SELECT?

The Surf Select program brings together the most talented players and coaches from all of Surf Nation to compete together under the Surf banner at the highest levels. Through a series of local, regional and national events, players within Surf Nation will be selected to represent Surf Select in national and international competitions.

HOW WILL SURF SELECT WORK THIS YEAR?
Montana Surf athletes are chosen to attend Regional Camp in Spokane based on nominations from coaches and technical directors. Montana Surf Academy athletes (U12-U10) will be evaluated throughout the season and at a local Surf Select event on October 18th and 19th. Competitive Academy athletes will be evaluated throughout the season as well as at spring season competitive tryouts in November. Coaches have made the first round of Surf Select nominations and some athletes will receive invitations to Spokane in the coming week. More invitations will be issued after the local Academy and Competitive tryout events.
If nominated to go to Spokane, Montana Surf athletes will have the opportunity to compete at a higher level with players selected from other Surf clubs throughout the Northwest including Washington, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and British Columbia. In Spokane, Surf coaches will select the best of the group to join a regional team that will compete at high level tournaments this winter. The best players from each regional team will be selected to attend Surf Select National Camp in San Diego over Presidents' Weekend in February of 2023.
National Camp provides an incredible opportunity for our athletes to play with the "best of the best" from the 46 Surf Nation clubs and over 25,000 Surf Nation athletes. While at National Camp, age groups will be further narrowed down to create Surf Select National Teams which will compete at the highest levels in the US and abroad. This year we had 14 Montana Surf athletes play with Surf Select National Teams in places like Florida, California, and Spain!

Montana Surf’s Aden Lyle, a goalkeeper, played for the National Boys’ Team in 2021 and 2022. Aden shared, “Our team traveled to Valencia, Spain, to play against Spanish competitive clubs. The speed of play, finishing power and overall technical skills were the highest I have ever seen. It was amazing to be on a team with Surf players from all over the country and the experience made me a better player.”

WINTER PROGRAMMING

We have an exciting season of programming ahead including indoor soccer, strength & agility, skills & drills, pick up soccer, and technical training. Futsal registration will open soon - stay tuned for more info!

CAN YOU HELP US THANK OUR SPONSORS?

It takes a village - or in Bozeman's case a "micropolis" - to make a soccer program as large and complex as Montana Surf/Blitzz FC work. We can't do what we do without the generous support of our local and national sponsors. TOYOTA and DIRECTV have been huge supporters of Montana Surf this year and we'd love your help in thanking them.
If you drive a Toyota, please bring your YKOC parking pass (or the pass shown below) to the Toyota service center for an oil change before October 31. This is how they track the impact of their sponsorship. The more people we have use it, the better our chances of securing their support next year. And you get 10% off!
DIRECTV is giving away twenty $500 sports scholarships. Please click on the link below to enter and to show them how much we appreciate their support of our athletes and programs.
