Pricing Update
You can find the 2022-23 BEST pricing schedule at this link. The pricing schedule includes BEST digital products, physical materials, and training workshops. We are committed to providing the best possible assessments and resources for adult English learners, and work to keep our prices affordable by making minimal increases each year. New prices will go into effect July 1, 2022.
BEST Plus 3.0 and BEST Literacy 2.0 Test Development Updates
CAL is working to develop and release new versions of our BEST assessments: BEST Plus 3.0 and BEST Literacy 2.0. These new, enhanced versions of the tests will be available once they are approved for use for NRS reporting purposes. Each test has been refreshed with up-to-date content and new item types that assess college and career skills aligned with the 2017 NRS EFLs. In addition, BEST Plus 3.0 will be moving to a new app-based delivery with cloud storage. CAL will submit the tests to the U.S. Department of Education Office of Career, Technical, and Adult Education (OCTAE) for NRS approval in October of 2022.
Our existing assessments, BEST Plus 2.0 and BEST Literacy, remain approved for use in the NRS system and clients using these assessments for NRS reporting can continue to do so. We will keep you informed as we have more information about test approvals. We look forward to sharing these innovative new tests with you!
Annual Client Survey
We want to hear from you! Please complete the annual client survey at this link. Clients who complete the survey by Friday, July 1st will be entered into a drawing for one of two $50 Amazon gift cards. Winners will be contacted on Monday, July 11th. To qualify for the drawing, your program must currently use BEST assessments, and you must answer all survey questions.
