A message from MOA:
"We are thrilled to announce that, after an 18-month closure for Great Hall seismic upgrades, the Museum of Anthropology at UBC will be reopening the evening of Thursday, June 13 at 5 pm! To officially start things off—on Thursday, June 13, from 5 to 9 pm—we are hosting our Reopening Night. Free admission for all. Then from Friday, June 14 through Sunday, June 16, we are hosting a full extended weekend of family-friendly fun and half-priced admission for our Reopening Weekend Celebrations. The Museum will reopen with two new feature exhibitions, both showcasing Indigenous perspectives of historical periods too often told and represented through a colonial lens: in Pursuit of Venus [infected] by famed Māori artist Lisa Reihana, and To be seen, to be heard: First Nations in Public Spaces, 1900–1965."
During their reopening and until December 31st, 2024: UBC Botanical Garden Members, plus one guest, with valid membership card have complimentary access to MOA! UBC Botanical Garden Members can also enjoy 10% off at the MOA gift shop during this period.
