FORT WORTH, Texas (May 9, 2026) – Texas Christian University brought together more than 2,800 graduates, including more than 500 earning master's and doctoral degrees, for a reimagined all-university commencement on Friday night. The celebration introduced a new tradition and gathered the entire graduating class in a single, shared moment in Amon G. Carter Stadium with approximately 13,000 friends, family, mentors, faculty and staff in attendance.
Held under the lights before a cheering stadium of family and friends, the ceremony saw Chancellor Daniel W. Pullin formally confer degrees while marking a collective milestone for the Class of 2026 — reflecting TCU’s continued growth and commitment to a student-centered experience.
“Tonight’s all-university commencement is our way to celebrate the Class of 2026 together,” Pullin said. “Earning a TCU degree is the culmination of years of hard work and sacrifice, and it reflects the power of a TCU education to prepare graduates to make a meaningful impact in their communities and around the world.”

The ceremony marked a full-circle moment for the Class of 2026. As first-year students in 2022, they gathered on the stadium field for a class kickoff experience. On Friday night, they returned to that same field for one final shared celebration — this time as TCU graduates.
The evening featured remarks from university leadership, student leaders and alumni as well as recognition of graduates and a fireworks finale that capped the celebration. The all-university ceremony complements individual school and college academic convocations held throughout the week, where graduates were recognized by name and experienced the traditional stage-walk moment.
The Class of 2026 includes graduates from 46 states and 48 countries, with more than 1,400 earning Latin honors. Sixty-eight graduates achieved a 4.0 grade point average, while 44 earned double degrees and one student completed three degrees.
Several moments throughout the ceremony reflected traditions and experiences unique to TCU. In one of the night’s most memorable moments, two graduating seniors who served as SuperFrog — one of college sports' most distinctive mascots — were revealed on stage, marking the conclusion of their time in one of the university’s most recognizable and closely held traditions. The identity of SuperFrog typically remains secret throughout a student’s tenure, making the reveal a rare and celebratory milestone.
TCU's all-university commencement format is designed to bring the full graduating class together while preserving individual academic recognition within each academic school or college. The approach reflects both the scale of the university and the close-knit community that defines the Horned Frog experience.
