Marcus Freeman named Dick Corbett Head Football Coach

On Friday, the University named Marcus Freeman, architect of the highly-ranked Fighting Irish defense, the 30th Dick Corbett Head Football Coach at Notre Dame. Freeman was introduced Monday at a news conference and will coach the Irish in the upcoming bowl game.

Philanthropy students award $78,600 to local nonprofits

Students in Jonathan Hannah's Philanthropy and the Common Good class awarded $78,600 in grants to local nonprofits. The students researched and visited local nonprofits, requested and reviewed funding proposals, and worked as a board of directors to award the money. (More...)

Op-ed on the impact of the faith community and vaccinations 

Kraig Beyerlein, associate professor in the Department of Sociology and director of the Center for the Study of Religion and Society, recently wrote an op-ed in the Chicago Tribune looking at faith communities and their power to get more Americans vaccinated. Blue Jean Fridays raise money for United Way

There are creative ways to raise funds for United Way. Building Services hosts Blue Jean Fridays. Participants pay $2 each time they wear jeans to work or $30 for the semester. Join the Community Choir in time for Christmas Eve Mass

Can you carry a tune? The Notre Dame Community Choir, an outreach of Campus Ministry, is seeking members and you don't even have to try out. The choir sings at Masses in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart two times a year — Christmas Eve and during the summer. Joining in time for Christmas Eve Mass is as easy as attending the two upcoming rehearsals. (More...)
