Cub Scout Pack 164 service project cleans up!
February 17, 2016
We are trying to look at things in a different way this Lenten Season!  Even our sanctuary seating has been changed to stir us out of regular patterns and encourage us to leave our comfort zones. Throughout these forty days of Lent, we will be sharing daily invitations to fast from the heart. Check our Facebook page.
A Warm Welcome to our Newest Members
Addison and Shannon Gibson, and their 2-year-old son, Isaac.  Presently, Addison is serving the Navy as a Recruiter, but he is just about receive his degree in nuclear engineering!  Shannon, in addition to being a full-time wife and mother, and part-time advertising assistant for The Popcorn Place in Flowood, is earning her masters in teaching to prepare for a career in Language Arts. Since becoming a Navy family, the Gibsons have lived in South Carolina, Maine, Virginia, Guam and New York!  They hope to be in Mississippi for at least the next three years, and we are so honored they have chosen to make PHUMC their church home while they are here.  Be sure to seek them out, send them a word of welcome, and help them find their own ways to welcome, grow, serve and celebrate with us here at Parkway Hills!
Parkway Hills is proud to be the home of Cub Scout Pack 164.
These Scouts from Pack 164 got up early Monday morning, (their school holiday!), to pick up trash at Mannsdale Elementary in the rain and mud!  We are inspired by these boys, and so thankful for their adult leaders.
Scouting continues to offer our kids great opportunities- are you interested in joining the Scouting Ministry at Parkway Hills?
