Vicki Birchfield, a professor in the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs, received one of France’s highest civilian honors, rising to the rank of Officer of France's National Order of Merit for her continued dedication to furthering Franco-American relations.

Faculty, Staff, and Students Invited to Submit Projects to the 2024 Guthman Music, Art, and Technology Fair by Feb. 9 |
As part of the annual Guthman Musical Instrument Competition, Georgia Tech faculty, staff, and students are invited to showcase their own projects at the intersection of music, art, and technology at the Guthman Music, Art, and Technology Fair. The fair will take place from
4 to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, in Exhibition Hall.
The submission deadline is Friday, Feb. 9. Find out more and submit your project.

Fei-Ling Wang (International Affairs) published an invited essay on the U.S. election in Singapore's
Lianhe Zaobao. The essay was translated into English and published in the publication's sister journal ThinkChina as well.

Senior Associate Dean Richard Utz published an article in in
Perspicuitas entitled "Not Without a Trace: Residual Regional Medievalisms," which updates existing studies on the longevity of anti-semitic thought and practice from the Middle Ages through contemporary times in eastern Bavaria.

Associate Professor
Natalie Khazaal (Modern Languages) presented the results of her pilot project for the Transformative Teaching and Learning Faculty Initiative at the Georgia Tech Retreat on Exploring Effective Teaching on Jan. 19. Khazaal's is one of 11 funded projects that integrated experiential learning into Fall 2023 courses and collectively impacted 855 undergraduate students.
