The new mask mandate took effect last Friday and, in typical Pilot fashion, UP students took the new safety rules in stride, masking up for an afternoon and evening of outdoor fun.
Students filled the stadium at Merlo field to watch the men’s and women’s soccer teams compete in an action-packed double-header. New signs around the stadium served as reminders to keep those masks pulled up.
That same day, students flocked to the Activities Fair, which was held outdoors in the academic quad. Representatives from all UP clubs and organizations were on hand offering details on how to get involved, and students could go from table to table to find the perfect fit.
Keeping track of the ever-changing mask mandates can feel like aiming at a moving target. But with COVID cases in Oregon at an all-time high, masking up is an easy way we can all help to stop the spread. We’re proud of our Pilots for doing their part.
