Food Lion Makes Generous Donation to Feed the Pack Food Pantry
|

Last Monday at the Pack Essentials Hub, Food Lion Director of Operations Delony Spraggins presented a big check for $50,000 to Pack Essentials leaders. That donation was critical in setting up the pantry’s new location with necessary shelving and refrigeration equipment.

- The third annual Pantry Bowl between NC State and UNC-Chapel Hill is set for the week of Nov. 19-26. This friendly competition, won by NC State last year, will see which university can rally the most gifts to its campus food pantry.
- The NC State College Advising Corps (CAC) is recruiting for its 24-25 cohort. CAC hires recent college graduates to serve as college advisers in public high schools. Encourage students to attend one of several upcoming information sessions.
- As part of the new state budget finalized in October, NC State University has been allocated $3 million to establish an education, training and workforce program for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities that will launch in fall 2024.
- Wellness and Recreation wants your feedback on its programs and services! They are hosting focus groups for faculty and staff to help them continue to grow and improve: Thursday, Nov. 30 from 12-1 p.m. and Monday, Dec. 4 from 3-4 p.m.
- The Arts and your Major series is offering several programs this week about the intersection of arts and STEM. Encourage your students to attend!
- The Department of Performing Arts and Technology’s fall dance concert is set for Thursday and Friday at 7 p.m. in Stewart Theatre.
- Experience dance and music performances at NC State! Tickets for all Department of Performing Arts and Technology fall 2023 concerts are now available for purchase through Ticket Central.
- Reminder: Flu shots are free and available for NC State staff through appointments at the Campus Health Center, or walk-in clinics across campus until December. See a full schedule for clinics here.
