Congratulations to three CASL faculty members: Suzanne Bergeron, Stanley Weed, and Sheryl Edwards for receiving 2016Distinguished Faculty Awards. The awards will be presented at the 34th annual UM-Dearborn Honor Scholars and Faculty Awards Ceremony on March 22.

Longtime University of Michigan-Dearborn faculty member William Linn died Sunday, January 10. The associate professor of English was 72 years old. Linn had taught at UM-Dearborn since 1979, leading courses in creative writing, poetry, and American and Anglo-Irish literature.
Everything we do in CASL supports the success of our students. We provide experiences in the classroom, out in the field and around the world. You support these efforts by funding scholarships, collaborative research, study abroad opportunities and hands-on learning.
• TONIGHT -- March 9 -- GOLD Dodgeball Tournament: The Graduates of the Last Decade (GOLD) will host an action-packed game of dodgeball on March 9 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at UM-Dearborn’s Fieldhouse, followed by a social gathering at Buddy’s Pizza in Dearborn. • The program matches gifts of $50,000 to $1 million with the match providing $1 for every $4 for new or existing student-support endowments.
• Gifts may be designated to support scholarships on a university-wide basis or for a specific college, school or program.
• The matching funds are only available through June 30 (or when they run out).
