COVID-19/Coronavirus Update
Tuesday, March 17, 2020
Dear Faculty,
Thank you for your understanding and willingness to assist your students during this difficult time. We sincerely appreciate all of your efforts to date.
An email was distributed to students this afternoon notifying them that their faculty members will be contacting them about resuming instruction. Please immediately reach out to all of your students, if you have not already done so, with an update about your course(s). We are expecting that as many courses as possible will begin in a remote format on March 18.
There will be no on-site classes until further notice. Expect to hear soon from your faculty leaders on how we can best support you. Additional information will be provided later today. We want you to know that we support and appreciate your efforts to provide instructional continuity as best you can given the current crisis.
Many of you have already begun to transition your classes to a remote method. We understand that those of you who were expecting to teach your classes on-site may not be able to immediately resume instruction. Please work with your dean and faculty peers on what this looks like for your own specific labs. We know there are challenges ahead, and we will work through them together.
Please continue to check your email and the Coronavirus/COVID-19 website for current information. We understand this has been a challenging time for you and your families and we appreciate your patience as we navigate this shifting landscape.
