First Annual VIGH
Global Health Symposium 

The Vanderbilt Institute for Global Health (VIGH) Student Advisory Council (SAC) will host the first annual VIGH Global Health Symposium on November 6. The symposium will be an opportunity for students who have conducted research or projects in global or public health to present their work and showcase it to the broader Vanderbilt community. 
The symposium will take place in the Student Life Center,
Board of Trust room from 5 - 8 p.m.

Vanderbilt Medicine: Global Good

A memory of seeing street vendors selling caskets on the road leading to a hospital in Tanzania led Dr. Reid Thompson, VUMC neurosurgeon, to return last summer with colleagues. The team provided surgical care, shared expertise and learned how to do things in a different way. Read more about their experience and what they hope to achieve through a new VUMC International Neurosurgery Program.
